Within a selection campaign that includes a Communication node, you can preview the export contents before the node is executed and the export table is created.

If the fields you select for inclusion in the export file include any Communication custom details, you might not see the correct values in the export preview under the following circumstances:

1. On the Custom Details page of the Communication node, you enter a value for one of the custom details.
2. You click the Preview Export button, and the resulting export preview displays the correct value that you entered for the custom detail.
3. You close the preview window and change the value for the custom detail.
4. You click Preview Export again.

When the preview appears again. you might see that the value shown for the custom detail is not the changed value. It is the original value that you entered in step 1 above. You might also see that the value on the Custom Details page is the original value and not the changed value.

To work around this problem, click the OK button (rather than Preview Export) after you make the change to the custom detail. Then, re-open the Communication node properties window and click Preview Export. The preview then displays the correct value for the custom detail.
