Problem Note 58891: Errors are generated when a PROC DS2 MERGE statement or PROC FEDSQL CASE statement is run with the SAS® In-Database Code Accelerator in Cloudera 5.7
Error messages like the following might be written to the SAS® log when you run a MERGE statement in PROC DS2 with the SAS In-Database Code Accelerator in Cloudera 5.7:
ERROR: General error org.apache.hive.service.cli.HiveSQLException: Error
while compiling statement: FAILED: IndexOutOfBoundsException Index: 2,
Size: 2
ERROR: Failed to run DS2INDB.
ERROR: Error returned from tkedsPubINDBDS2.
The problem can also occur when you run PROC FEDSQL code that contains a CASE statement on a Cloudera 5.7 system.
The problem occurs because an explicit ELSE NULL statement is required when a CASE statement is present in Cloudera 5.7. Cloudera 5.4 did not require this.
