Problem Note 58828: SAS® Forecast Analyst Workbench calculates negative value forecasts
Negative forecasts are forcefully set to zero after the reconciliation step in SAS Forecast Analyst Workbench. This means that reconciliation happens with negative values. If there is a negative forecast in a leaf level, then the reconciliation step is executed with negative values. After reconciliation the negative values are set to zero and then displayed in the user interface. In Collaboration Workspace, zero forecast values for leaf level are considered for aggregation to higher level. This issue can cause data in SAS Forecast Analyst Workbench to not match up with SAS® Forecast Server.
Click the Hot Fix tab in this note to access the hot fix for this issue.
After the fix is available, a new column called ALLOW_NEGATIVE_IND is available in the KPI_CONFIG table. This column indicates whether negative forecasts are allowed or set to zero.
