Problem Note 58708: You cannot dynamically change the SAS_HADOOP_CONFIG_PATH environment variable in SAS® Enterprise Guide®

DetailsHotfixAboutRate It

In SAS Enterprise Guide, if one or more Hadoop libraries are pre-assigned in SAS® Management Console, you cannot change the SAS_HADOOP_CONFIG_PATH environment variable.

In an environment other than SAS Enterprise Guide, the SAS_HADOOP_CONFIG_PATH environment variable can be reassigned. This allows the SAS session to connect to an alternate Hadoop distribution, even if the SAS_HADOOP_CONFIG_PATH has been previously assigned a directory location.

Dynamically changing the SAS_HADOOP_CONFIG_PATH environment variable and assigning a LIBNAME to point to an alternate cluster looks similar to this:

option set=SAS_HADOOP_CONFIG_PATH="/tmp/hadoop/NEWconf"; libname x hadoop user=user-ID password=password server=server-name;
