Problem Note 58565: Boolean calculated variables that reference a data grid do not work properly when they are used as input for a treatment campaign set
In SAS® Real-Time Decision Manager, using a Boolean calculated variable (which references a data grid) as input to a treatment campaign set might return an incorrect value. No errors occur in the UI or in the logs. You might also notice that the same calculated variable returns the correct value when it is used in campaign nodes (for example, Reply, Branch, and Filter).
The following code is an example of a Boolean calculated variable that returns incorrect values when it used as input to a treatment campaign set:
IIF(ARRAYINDEX(<<Event Variables.inGrid.MyTextString>>,'ABC') > 0 and <<Event Variables.inGrid.MyNumber>>[ARRAYINDEX(<<Event Variables.inGrid.MyTextString>>,'ABC')] > 0,
true, false)
Boolean calculated variables that do not reference a data grid do return the correct value when they are used as input to a treatment campaign set.
To work around this issue, move the calculated variable upstream in the diagram to a Subdiagram, Filter, or Branch node so that the variable can be referenced subsequently in the input definition for the treatment campaign.
