Problem Note 58360: Jobs loop and fail to complete in the DATA step in SAS® 9.4 under z/OS

When you run a DATA step, the job might go into a loop and stop responding. The job never completes, and you eventually must cancel it. No error messages are generated.
To determine whether you are encountering this problem, contact SAS Technical Support.
The only workaround is to code the SAS system option NOCODEGEN at SAS invocation.
