In SAS Customer Intelligence Studio, when you create a calculated item that includes the INTNX function, the calculated item might fail validation. If the validation fails, the following error might appear:

The validation failure and error occur under the following circumstances:

1. You create a calculated item that includes the INTNX function (for example: intnx('month',today(),2,'s')).
2. You set the data type as Date in the Calculated Item Properties window.
3. You click the Validate button or you attempt to save the calculated item.

The validation should not fail under these circumstances, and the error message is misleading.
