Problem Note 58024: The error "java.lang NullPointerException" is displayed when you try to save a MAX or MIN contact policy in SAS® Marketing Optimization

When you try to save a MAX or MIN contact policy in SAS Marketing Optimization, the policy might not be saved. Instead, the following error is displayed:

In addition to the error message, the SASMarketingOptimization6.1.log file contains the following error messages:

This problem occurs when a Time period table is not assigned for the input data. When the problem occurs, the time-period values for the Specify a time range for the max contact policy option are missing also, as shown below:

As a workaround, specify a Time period table when you set up the data:
