Problem Note 58970: You cannot disable the "Required" flag in the Custom Details Groups in SAS® Customer Intelligence Studio
In SAS Customer Intelligence Studio, you cannot disable the Required flag (check box) in Custom Details groups. Once the selection group has the Required check box enabled, you cannot disable it.
The problem occurs when you perform steps similar to the following:
- You create a new group in SAS Customer Intelligence Studio by selecting Definitions ► Custom Details ► Groups.
- You choose a selection group and select (enable) the Required check box, as shown below:
- You save the custom detail.
- You re-open the custom detail and clear (disable) the Required check box.
- Then you save the custom detail. When you do that, the Required check box appears enabled again.
You also cannot disable the Required check box when you add the group to a treatment.
As a workaround, do not enable the Required flag for a selection group. If you enable the flag only for each field inside the selection group, you can disable the flag as necessary.
