Microsoft has introduced a new security feature for Office products. This feature can be implemented as a result of applying a Windows patch, so you might not be aware that it is enabled. When the feature is enabled, it can affect exporting in SAS Web Report Studio.

When exporting a report, SAS Web Report Studio creates a ZIP file, and you must extract the files before you can use them. However, if this security feature is enabled, the extracted Microsoft Excel file might be blank. In this case, you must take an additional step to open the extracted Excel file. Specifically, right-click the Excel file, select Properties, and then select the Unblock option in the lower right corner of the dialog box. This option is shown in the following display.
