Usage Note 58641: "Duplicate class definition" errors occur when you use MapR 5.0 or 5.1
Due to a bug in MapR, when multiple classloaders are used by an application, MapR might attempt to load their native libraries multiple times. This can result in various class errors such as the following:
Duplicate class definition for name: "com/mapr/fs/shim/LibraryLoader"
ERROR: java.lang.ExceptionInitializerError
Workaround
Remove the
java.library.path=mapr directory from the Java search path. This might allow the connection to work. It causes MapR 5.
x to extract its native libraries from the JAR file into the
/tmp directory on a per-user basis.

This issue has been replicated outside of the SAS® System and reported as MapR case #00038839. MapR suggests that customers either contact MapR support at support@mapr.com or visit community.mapr.com.
