Problem Note 58586: An IPC_CONNECTION_BROKEN error might occur when you open a planning worksheet in a multi-threaded environment
In SAS® Merchandise Planning, the following IPC_CONNECTION_BROKEN error might occur when you open a planning worksheet in a multi-threaded environment:
mmx.Interface.dpe INFO 2016-06-14 14:27:55,603 [10560985]: Component: StatusMonitor, Method: run, Message : Seeding the cube
mmx.open WARN 2016-06-14 14:28:14,402 [tomcat-http--13]: Connection reset
<Error code="IPC_CONNECTION_BROKEN" userMessage="A client connection could not be established,
because the planning process or network is down." systemMessage="Connection reset" level="4" />
at com.sas.retail.merchplan.Interface.me.adapter.LocalDPEAdapter.handleIPCException(LocalDPEAdapter.java:155)
at com.sas.retail.merchplan.Interface.me.adapter.LocalDPEAdapter.open(LocalDPEAdapter.java:88)
at com.sas.retail.merchplan.Interface.me.command.OpenCommand.process(OpenCommand.java:474)
The error message reports that the client connection could not be established because the planning process has stopped or because there is an issue with the network.
There is no workaround for this issue.
