Installation Note 58549: When installing SAS® 9.4, you might see an error about the SAS® Software Depot and another error about processing of the VJR list file

When you are installing SAS 9.4, you might see this error:
An issue has been encountered with your SAS Software Depot that cannot be corrected.
A summary of the error is shown below. Full details can be found in the log at
C:\Program files\SASHome\InstallMisc\InstallLogs
Error occurred processing vjr list file for securejava__94120__cd772__prt__xx__sp0__1:
C:\SAS Software Depot\product_data\securejava__94120_cd772__prt__xx__sp0__1\vjrlist
In addition, the IT log might show this error:
Controller - There is a problem with the package being installed: Error occurred processing vjr list file for
securejava__94120__cd772__prt__xx__sp0__1: Software Depot\product_data\securejava__94120__cd772__prt__xx__sp0__1\vjrlist
This error can occur for many different products and versions. Here are some examples:
- product_data\securejava__94120__prt__xx__sp0__1\vjrlist
- product_data\basejars__94120__prt__xx__sp0__1\vjrlist
- product_data\mgmtconsole__94220__prt__xx__sp0__1\vjrlist
The error might occur under the following situation:
- You used the SAS® Download Manager option Remove duplicate files and save space, which caused the SAS Software depot to become optimized, and
- The \VJR\ folder created in the optimized \SAS Software Depot\ that contains these duplicate files is missing or was manually deleted.
To correct the problem, use the SAS Download Manager to download the depot again and do not rename or delete the VJR folder or files in the depot. Install SAS from this depot.
