When you view a search page in SAS Enterprise Case Management and click a date field, you might see an incorrect format in the tooltip for the field. The tooltip for a date field on a SAS Enterprise Case Management search page should use the Short Date format that you selected in the SAS Preferences Manager. Instead, you might see a different date format in the tooltip when you click a date field in a search page.

When the problem occurs, you should use the format that matches your SAS Preferences setting instead of the format suggested by the tooltip.

For example, you can set the Short date format to be yyyy-mm-dd in SAS Preferences Manager, as shown in the following screen shot:

When you place the cursor in a date field box, the tooltip might incorrectly show the date in mm/dd/yyyy format, as shown below:

If you enter a date in the suggested mm/dd/yyyy format and click Search, you might encounter the following error when the format does not match your preferences:

However, when you enter a date in the format that matches your preferences setting, you might see a different error, shown below:

When you use a date format that matches your preferences setting and receive an error message, the error message is incorrect. You can ignore the error message and click Search to execute the search query.
