Problem Note 58366: SAS® Management Console stops responding when you access Active Server Properties for metadata server details or to send a test alert message
SAS Management Console might stop responding when you try to get details about the metadata server or try to send a test alert message. For example, your system might stop responding when you perform the following steps:
- Expand Metadata Manager.
- Right-click Active Server.
- Select Properties.
When you encounter this problem, the following Data Access Status pop-up window might appear, and SAS Management Console no longer responds.
This problem occurs when the ALERTEMAIL assignment in the omaconfig.xml file exceeds 60 characters.
A workaround is to shorten the ALERTEMAIL assignment by using an email distribution list and assigning only that email distribution list in the omaconfig.xml file.
