Problem Note 58188: Certain extended ASCII characters can generate "invalid data" errors in the SAS® Enhanced Editor in a SAS® Unicode session
"Invalid data" errors can be generated when certain extended ASCII characters are used as the delimiter when you read data with a DATALINES or CARDS statement. This is most likely to occur when you use the SAS Enhanced Editor in a SAS Unicode session. These characters are not recognized as a delimiter by the SAS Enhanced Editor.
To circumvent the problem, use the SAS Program Editor instead of the SAS Enhanced Editor.
At this time, only the '¿' character has been found to cause this problem.
