Problem Note 58140: Abnormal termination might occur when computing DDFM=KR2 in the GLIMMIX procedure
The GLIMMIX procedure might abnormally terminate under the following conditions:
- the DDFM=KR2 option is specified in the MODEL statement
- the DIST=BETA or DIST=NEGBIN option is specified in the MODEL statement
- the RANDOM statement is used to specify G-side random effects or both G-side and R-side random effects
The SAS System can terminate or issue a Write Access Violation error message to the log.
Here is an example of a G-side only model:
proc glimmix;
class id a b time;
model y = a b time/dist=beta ddfm=kr2;
random id;
run;
Here is an example of a G and R-side model:
proc glimmix;
class id a b time;
model y = a b time/dist=beta ddfm=kr2;
random id;
random time/subject=id type=sp(pow)(yr) residual;
run;
There is no circumvention for this problem.
