Problem Note 58042: When you import tables using SAS® Management Console, the physical names of the imported tables become corrupted
When you import a table using SAS Management Console, you might encounter a problem where the physical name of the table becomes corrupted. This problem occurs when the following conditions are true:
- The table in the .spk file has different values for the metadata object name and the SASTableName attribute.
- The metadata object name is more than 32-characters long.
Under these conditions, the table is incorrectly named with the truncated version of the metadata object name. Furthermore, this incorrect name value is propagated to the physical table name field of other tables as you click them.
