In SAS Customer Intelligence 360, the LAST_USER_ID field is defined with a 52-character limit in the extract, transform, and load (ETL) normalization process. However, that field is defined with a 128-character limit in the SAS® 360 Discover data schema. Also, the SAS Customer Intelligence 360 user interface (UI) enables you to input more than 52 characters into the prefix and suffix fields that accompany the User ID attribute on the Identify User rule tab.
This mismatch of character limitations (between the data normalization process and the data schema) combined with the fact that the UI has no character limit in the prefix enables you to create a rule that does not return any user-input data values for the LAST_USER_ID field. For example, you can use a prefix that takes up the entire character limit. Therefore, the data is truncated as it is sent to the SAS Discover 360 data store.
As a workaround:
This workaround prevents truncation of the LAST_USER_ID field.
