Problem Note 57958: You cannot log on to SAS® Workflow Studio 1.3 when Integrated Windows Authentication (IWA) is enabled in SAS® 9.4 TS1M3
In the third maintenance release for SAS 9.4 (TS1M3), you cannot log on to SAS Workflow Studio 1.3 when the check box for Integrated Windows Authentication (IWA) is selected in the SAS Workflow Studio logon dialog box. When this problem occurs, the following error message is displayed:
The application has encountered an unexpected problem with the selected SAS environment.
Please contact your administrator for assistance.
In addition, the Studio.log file contains the following error message:
2016-02-26 06:05:45,236 INFO [login.session.BasicLogonSessionHandler] Logon fired. Scenario is IWA.
2016-02-26 06:05:45,236 INFO [login.session.BasicLogonSessionHandler] Detected existing JAAS configuration property: Config\security\login.config
2016-02-26 06:05:45,817 ERROR [login.visual.SwingEnvironmentLogonManager] Unexpected exception when processing environment default java.lang.SecurityException: Config\security\login.config (No such file or directory)
. . .more error lines. . .
To workaround the issue, complete these steps:
- Open the WorkflowStudio.ini file that is located in the
SASHome\SASWorkflowStudio\1.3 folder.
- Back up the WorkflowStudio.ini file.
- Remove the following line from WorkflowStudio.ini, and then renumber the Java arguments that remain in the file:
JavaArgs_3=-Djava.security.auth.login.config="Config\security\login.config"
- Save the file and restart SAS Workflow Studio.
