Problem Note 57955: The SAS® middle tier demonstrates poor performance and increased memory usage
SAS middle-tier memory usage might increase over time and result in reduced middle-tier performance if the following conditions are true:
- SAS® Job Monitor is configured to process batch log files on one or more servers.
- There is either a high volume of small log files or a low volume of large log files being processed over time.
The issue is caused by an increase in cache size related to log file processing.
The only workaround is to restart all SAS middle-tier servers.
