In SAS® 9.4, grid-launched workspace servers can work with IBM Platform LSF to forward Kerberos tickets to the grid server machine. This ticket creation occurs when the SAS Object Spawner environment has the SAS_GRID_USE_KERBEROS environment variable set (usually to a value of 1).
However, if you set up your Kerberos configuration so that the kinit command does not automatically create tickets that can be forwarded, IBM Platform LSF cannot forward a Kerberos ticket even though one is created under the Object Spawner. In this scenario, the text contents of the KRB5CCNAME environment variable, which has a value of FILE:/tmp/krb5_sasgrid_... that does not point to a file anywhere on the execution host, is all that is forwarded to the server.
