Problem Note 57653: The URL for Theme Designer for Flex is missing from the Instructions.html file
If a deployment requires multiple passes on the middle tier, Flex Application Themes might not be properly configured. As a result, the URL for Theme Designer for Flex might be missing from the Instructions.html file. This problem occurs when multiple passes of SAS® Deployment Wizard are required for the middle tier.
As a workaround, use SAS Deployment Manager to remove the configuration for Flex Application Themes. Then use the wizard to reconfigure Flex Application Themes.
Step 1: Remove the Flex Application Themes Configuration
To remove the Flex Application Themes configuration:
- Open SAS Deployment Manager and choose Remove Existing Configuration.
- On the Select Product Configurations to Remove page, check Flex Application Themes as the product configuration to remove.
- Run SAS Deployment Manager. Note: A warning status might occur during the step to remove the Flex Application Themes configuration because of an incomplete initial configuration. You can safely ignore this warning.
- Stop all servers on this tier. Then restart only the Web Infrastructure Platform Data Server and the SAS Web Server.
Step 2: Reconfigure Flex Application Themes
To reconfigure Flex Application Themes:
- Launch SAS Deployment Wizard from the same depot.
- On the Select Deployment Type page, clear the Install SAS Software check box. Make sure that Configure SAS Software is selected.
- On the Select Configuration Prompting Level page, select the Custom radio button.
- On the Select Products to Configure page, select SAS Web Application Server Configuration and SAS Flex Application Themes as the two items to configure.
- Complete the remaining steps and run SAS Deployment Wizard.
