Problem Note 57392: The client becomes unresponsive when you use a simple Remote Library Services LIBNAME statement, which causes a crash in the SAS/CONNECT® server
You encounter a problem where the client becomes unresponsive (sometimes referred to as "hanging") when the following conditions are true:
- You installed the hot fix for SAS Note 56619: "MP CONNECT sessions fail to start properly and return the error 'Remote signon to RHOST canceled'."
- You have trace logging turned on in your ConnectServer environment.
- You use a simple Remote Library Services LIBNAME assignment in your client SAS® program to reference the SAS/CONNECT server.
The problem is caused by the logging code in the server, which causes a crash.
To work around the problem, restore normal ConnectServer logging.
Note: Trace logging is enabled by exchanging the filenames of the logconfig.xml and logconfig.trace.xml files in the
ConnectServer directory. If this exchange was done, you can repeat the process to return to using the shipped logconfig.xml file.
Click the Hot Fix tab in this note to access the hot fix for this issue.
