Problem Note 57972: Digits to the right of the decimal point might be lost when you use the PERCENTw.d format with the ODS destination for Excel
The ODS destination for Excel maps SAS formats to the comparable Excel formats for a column when generating output. When you specify the PERCENTw.d format for a column with the ODS destination for Excel, digits to the right of the decimal might not be maintained in the output.
To circumvent the problem, apply the Excel formatting using the TAGATTR= style attribute instead of using the FORMAT statement to apply the PERCENTw.d format.
The example code below uses a custom Excel format to add one decimal place for the column Percent_Val:
data one;
percent_val=50;
run;
ods excel file="c:\excelformattest.xlsx";
proc print data=one;
var percent_val / style(data)={tagattr="format:###.0\%"};
run;
ods excel close;
