Problem Note 57836: The SAS® 9.4 Environment Manager Administration tab does not load and the browser process indicator runs continuously
When you click the Administration tab in the SAS Environment Manager console, the application does not load the Administration page and the browser process indicator runs continuously.
The following list contains possible issues that might cause this problem:
- A file that is used by SAS Backup Manager to format input fails to load. For details and a workaround to this issue, see SAS Note 56368,
"The SAS® Backup Manager module in SAS® Environment Manager Administration does not open, even after several minutes."
- You have an incorrect SAS maintenance release. Verify that SAS 9.4 Environment Manager has the latest SAS maintenance level, which is SAS® 9.4 TS1M3.
- When you try to access the console by clicking the Administration tab, the application redirects you to a URL that is invalid for SAS 9.4 TS1M3. Verify that you can access the SAS Environment Manager middle tier by loading the following URL:
http(s)://host-name:port/SASEnvironmentMgrMidTier
.
If you rule out or correct any of the issues noted above and the problem still persists, perform the following workaround:
- First, ensure that no one is using the SAS 9.4 Environment Manager console.
- Remove the Catalina folder under the following directory:
SAS-configuration-directory/Lev1/Web/SASEnvironmentManager/server-5.8.0-EE/hq-engine/hq-server/work/
- Open a browser of your choice and clear the browser cache. Then again try to access the SAS 9.4 Environment Manager console and click the Administration tab.
Performing these steps should resolve the issue.
