Usage Note 57554: Displaying an ActiveX graph in Microsoft Internet Explorer might result in a BEX error after the application of Microsoft patch KB3000850
The following error message might be generated when you attempt to display an ActiveX graph in Microsoft Internet Explorer after you apply Microsoft patch KB3000850:
Problem event name: BEX
Application name: IEXPLORE.EXE
Fault module name: ntdll.dll
This error might occur when you display only certain ActiveX graphs. Other ActiveX graphs are still displayed correctly even after you apply patch KB3000850. The error commonly occurs when you create graphics output with PROC GMAP, but it might occur with other graph procedures as well.
To circumvent the issue, either remove Microsoft patch KB3000850 or use a device driver other than ACTIVEX, such as ACTXIMG or PNG, to create your graphs.
