In SAS Customer Intelligence Studio, modifications that you make to Custom Details groups are not maintained.

For example, this problem occurs when you perform steps similar to the following:

1. In SAS Customer Intelligence Studio, select Custom Details ► Groups ► Manage Custom Details:
   

   

2. Add a text field similar to the one shown below:
   

   

3. Save the group and then re-open it. When you re-open the group, the text field is missing, as shown below:
   

   

The same problem occurs when you modify an existing custom detail. For example, the Required check box is selected for the Development Start Date field:

Once you select that check box, an asterisk appears that indicates that the Development Start Date field is now required.

However, when you save the group and then re-open it, the field is no longer required, as shown below:

The only workaround is as follows:

1. Save your Custom Detail group as a separate group.
2. Make your changes and save them.
3. Delete the original group and rename the new group with the name of the original group.
