Problem Note 57285: A failure occurs when you attempt to horizontally cluster a middle-tier node that is split across multiple machines
When you attempt to cluster a middle-tier node from a primary node that is split across machines, a failure might occur. The failure occurs because SAS® Deployment Wizard cannot copy the picklists
The following is an example of a split SAS® middle tier in the LAX operating environment:
A split SAS Web Report Studio middle tier in the LAX operating environment:
- primary middle tier: xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx
- SAS Web Report Studio split middle tier: yyy.yyy.yyy.yyy
- SAS Web Report Studio cluster: zzz.zzz.zzz.zzz (This cluster contains the configuration error.)
To workaround this issue, on the machine from which you are attempting to create a cluster, add the missing
picklists subfolder in the SAS_configuration_directory\Lev1\Web\Staging folder. You can also find the exact path in the configuration log file's error message. After you add the picklists subfolder, click Retry in the SAS Deployment Wizard error dialog box that appears on the cluster machine.
A fix for this issue is planned for a future software release.
