Problem Note 57246: The SAS® Distributed In-Process Scheduler Job Runner service might fail to start in a Windows environment and might return fatal errors
The Windows service DIP JobRunner (which is the service for the SAS Distributed In-Process Scheduler Job Runner) might fail to start.
If the problem described here occurs, examine the SAS-configuration-directory\Config\LevN\Web\Applications\SASWIPSchedulingServices9.4\dip\serviceLog\DIP_JobRunner_hostname.log and look for the following FATAL errors in the log file:
STATUS | wrapper | 2015/03/24 10:12:55 | --> Wrapper Started as Service
STATUS | wrapper | 2015/03/24 10:12:55 | Launching a JVM...
FATAL | wrapper | 2015/03/24 10:12:55 | Unable to execute Java command. The system cannot find the file specified. (0x2)
FATAL | wrapper | 2015/03/24 10:12:55 | "\bin\java.exe"
When you look at the SASHOME\wrapper.conf file, the value for the wrapper.java.command property is not the full path to the SAS Private JRE executable.
wrapper.java.command=\bin\java.exe
To resolve the problem, modify the SASHOME\wrapper.conf file and specify the full path to the SAS Private JRE executable. Here is an example:
wrapper.java.command=C:\Program Files\SASHome\SASPrivateJavaRuntimeEnvironment\9.4\jre\bin\java.exe
