Problem Note 56977: An incorrect query might be passed to a database when a CASE expression is used in a WHERE clause

An incomplete CASE expression might be submitted to a database when the query contains a CASE expression in the WHERE clause and the query contains one or more of the following:

  • DISTINCT operator
  • ORDER BY clause
  • join of 2 or more database tables referenced by the same libref
  • summary function
  • GROUP BY clause
