Problem Note 56808: Creating a High Availability (HA) configuration in Platform Web Services for SASĀ® returns the error "Failed to make known good file for configuration"
Attempting to load a High Availability (HA) configuration in Platform Web Services for SAS might fail with the following error:
ERROR:com.platform.pws.webservice.impl.LSFConfigWebServiceImpl.applyLsfConfig(LSFConfigWebServiceImpl.java:399)] Exception occured with details:com.platform.pws.util.lsfConfig.LSFConfigApplyUtil$LSFConfigApplyException: Failed to make known good file for configuration /sgrid/platform/lsf/conf/ego/fsbu_lab/kernel/ego.conf. ssh_askpass: exec(/usr/libexec/openssh/ssh-askpass): No such file or directory
;Host key verification failed.
Because Platform Web Services for SAS is deployed by the SAS® Deployment Wizard, this means that the SAS install account MUST be an LSF Administrator. The simplest approach (especially if you are performing a new install) is to simply make the SAS install account the Primary LSF Administrator. This approach eliminates the need to apply the attached path and configure password-less SSH.
If making the SAS install account the Primary LSF Administrator is NOT an option, then the SAS install account must at least be an LSF Administrator. In this case, you must click the Downloads tab in this note to apply the attached patch.
