Problem Note 56806: Counts are not consistent when a linked campaign is not closed in SAS® Customer Intelligence Studio
In SAS Customer Intelligence Studio, counts are inconsistent when a linked campaign remains open. This problem occurs when you perform the following actions:
- You open the campaign that has the linkable Cell node, and you keep it open.
- You open the campaign that has a Link node to the cell above, and you keep it open.
- You change the selection criteria in the campaign that has the linkable Cell node, update the counts, and save the changes.
- In the campaign that has the Link node, you select all nodes, clear the counts, and then update counts.
After you perform these steps, the counts for the Link node are based on previous selection criteria, but the counts for the Communication node are based on the current selection criteria.
In the following display, you can see that the Link to Cell node counts incorrectly show 842 customers while the Communication node shows the correct counts [(3,534+185)= 3,719]:
That total (3,719) is also shown in the campaign that has the linkable Cell node:
As a workaround, re-open the campaign that has the Link node and update the counts.
Note: This problem does not occur when the campaign is scheduled because the campaign is re-opened before it is executed.
