Overview

When you attempt to distribute a report, SAS Visual Analytics Designer might display the one or all of the following errors:

There are two known causes for this problem.

Existing jobs created in other applications

This problem can occur when you have existing jobs and flows that were created in an application other than SAS Visual Analytics. For example, the jobs might have been created in SAS® Data Integration Studio.

Deleted users

This problem can occur when the SAS® Metadata Server contains existing distribution jobs and flows that are owned by a user who has been deleted from metadata.

As a workaround, follow these steps:

  1. Log on to SAS® Management Console as an administrator.
  2. Navigate to SAS Folders ►System ► Applications ► SAS Visual Analytics ► ScheduledDistribution.
  3. Locate the folder that belongs to the user who has been removed from metadata.
  4. Delete the metadata objects that are in the user's folder.

After the objects are removed, SAS Visual Analytics Designer should no longer display an error when you attempt to distribute reports.
