Problem Note 56554: The PROC DS2 function TO_DATE fails when the input argument is a constant
Incorrect output might be generated when a constant value is passed to the TO_DATE function in PROC DS2.
Correct results are generated when the constant value is assigned to a variable and passed to the TO_DATE function.
The example code below illustrates both scenarios:
proc ds2;
...other code ...
method init();
tid = _threadid_;
da = to_date(19358);
output;
d = 19358;
da = to_date(d);
output;
end;
...other code ...
quit;
