Problem Note 56477: A parallel merge join fails and returns "Run function returned error: Operation aborted by software"

When you use DATA step VIEW or an SQL VIEW in the FROM clause, a parallel merge join might fail. An error message similar to the following occurs in the SPD Server log:
02/07/14 11:02:53:(10565) SPDSBASE- srnextrec: Run function returned error: Operation aborted by software
