Problem Note 56475: The error "SAS Enterprise Guide has stopped working" occurs when you are making a connection to a load-balanced IOM server cluster

SAS® Enterprise Guide® might stop working under the following conditions:

  • You are running the 64-bit version of SAS Enterprise Guide
  • You are making a connection to a load-balanced Integrated Object Model (IOM) server cluster
  • Your Windows language locale is set to one of the following:
    • Traditional Chinese - Hong Kong
    • Traditional Chinese - Macau
    • Simplified Chinese - Singapore

The problem has not occurred with the 32-bit version of SAS Enterprise Guide.

Most languages, including the following, do not cause the problem:

  • English
  • Traditional Chinese - Taiwan
  • Simplified Chinese - China

Currently, the only workaround is to use a locale that does not cause the problem.
