Problem Note 56074: MPLN_PRICE_CHG_APPR.START_DT values might advance incorrectly over time for approved markdowns
In SAS® Markdown Optimization, the START_DT values for approved markdowns might incorrectly advance over time in the MPLN_PRICE_CHG_APPR table. This issue is known to cause perceived rule violations under the following conditions:
- The FUTURE_PRICE_CHG_EXE_SOURCE global setting is set to 0. This setting tells the system to use approved prices from the MPLN_PRICE_CHG_APPR table in the frozen period, if available.
- There is an approved price for the current/frozen week (due to the incorrectly advancing START_DT) in the MPLN_PRICE_CHG_APPR table that was not executed.
There is no workaround for this issue. If, however, you do not have a week lag in loading your price fact data, you can consider setting FUTURE_PRICE_CHG_EXE_SOURCE to 1.
