Problem Note 56880: "The metadata server does not contain the needed information..." error appears when you click New on the Status Handling tab of Hadoop transformations
In SAS® Data Integration Studio, when you click New on the Status Handling tab of several Hadoop transformations, the following error message appears:
ERROR: The metadata server does not contain the needed information to support this feature.
Please notify your metadata administrator to add the default initialization metadata.
The following Hadoop transformations have this issue:
- Hadoop Container
- Hadoop File Reader
- Hive
- Map Reduce
- Pig
- Transfer From Hadoop
- Transfer to Hadoop
This error occurs because there are no condition-actions associated with these transformations in the metadata. The Status Handling tab does not function for these transformations.

When you click New on the Status Handling tab in several of the Hadoop transformations in SAS® Data Integration Studio, an error message appears.
