Problem Note 56586: SAS® Marketing Optimization might produce incorrect results when you use customer constraints when using prioritization optimization
When you use a priority optimization scenario with a customer-level constraint in SAS Marketing Optimization, the results might be incorrect. This problem only occurs when all four of the following criteria are true:
- None of the values of the communication measure used in the constraint are 0.
- At least one of the values of the communication measure is not 1 (standard cell-size constraints and contact policies do not cause the problem).
- The constraint does not have a communication filter. Or, if it does have a communication filter, the filter includes all of the communications (that is, it does not exclude any communications from the constraint).
- The constraint does not have a customer filter.
To work around this issue, add a constraint with a customer filter, even if the filter includes every customer (for example, where Age >= 0).
