Problem Note 56498: Grid jobs might be launched with expired or nearly expired Kerberos tickets
In a grid-launched workspace server environment that is configured with the Kerberos authentication protocol, the SAS TKEGRID component creates a Kerberos ticket and spawns a gridrun process to launch jobs for a user. The original Kerberos ticket never is renewed, which might cause the Load Sharing Facility (LSF) to forward an expired ticket even though the ticket could be renewed.
The problem occurs most often when users keep server sessions active after the original ticket has expired. Users who log on, submit jobs that do not run for days, and then log off when the jobs finish typically do not encounter the problem.
The solution for this problem is for the SAS TKEGRID component to create a fresh Kerberos ticket for each job that it launches.
