Installation Note 56351: A "Failed to connect to server" error might be encountered after logging in to the SAS® Merchandise Solutions Configuration Workbench
The following error might be generated after logging in to the SAS Merchandise Solutions Configuration Workbench the first time after installation:
Failed to connect to server
In addition, the following error is generated in the configwb.log:
ERROR [Worker-0] (LoginHelper.java:184) - connection error
The errors are generated when the SAS Merchandise Solutions Configuration Workbench client is installed in a directory whose path contains a space.
The workaround for this issue is to install the software in a path that does not contain a space as indicated in SAS® Merchandise Intelligence 5.4 Installation and Configuration Guide.
