Problem Note 56348: An information-map error appears in SAS® Customer Intelligence Studio after you repair the information map and refresh the metadata cache
If you have an in-memory information map that references a data table and this table has been removed from the metadata, an error similar to the following appears whenever you log on to SAS® Customer Intelligence Studio:
The SASCustIntelCore6.x.log file also contains a corresponding error that informs you about the missing table. In this example, the table is named Customers.

If you remove the references to the missing table from the information map and refresh the cache using the Refresh cache button in the Business Contexts category on the SAS Customer Intelligence Studio Metadata page, the update to the cache fails. This failure is not apparent because no errors are displayed.
However, if you log off and then log on again, the original error (An error has occurred. See log files on . . .) reappears. The error reappears because the fields that reference the missing table are still in the in-memory information map.
To refresh the cache correctly when this problem occurs, you need to restart the middle tier.
