Problem Note 56294: The scripts that are used for migrating the SAS® Customer Intelligence Common Data Model take a long time to execute
The scripts that are used for migrating the SAS Customer Intelligence Common Data Model to release 6.1_M1 take a long time to execute. Migration to release 6.1_M1 is required when you migrate from release 5.41 or earlier to 6.1_M1 and later.
This issue is particularly evident when the Common Data Model Contact History table (CI_CONTACT_HISTORY) contains a very large volume of records.
Click the Hot Fix tab in this note to access the hot fix for this issue.
With the hot fix, the scripts are updated so that the initial value for the CI_CONTACT_HISTORY.OPTIMIZATION_BACKFILL_FLG field, introduced in release 6.1_M1, is set to null, which implies 'N' (NO). Setting this field to null as the default value avoids the need for the software to read and write out each record. As a result, performance is greatly improved.
