Problem Note 56082: Configuration of the SAS® Social Network Analysis middle tier fails during migration of SAS® Anti-Money Laundering 4.2 to release 5.2
When you attempt to migrate SAS Anti-Money Laundering 4.2 to release 5.2, the SAS Social Network Analysis middle-tier configuration fails, generating the message shown below:

Do not click any of the buttons in the Configuration Failure dialog box. Instead, follow these steps to fix the problem:
- Locate and open the configure.xml file that resides in the SASHome/SASSocialNetworkAnalysisMidTier/release-number/config/ directory.
- In the configure.xml file, locate the following code lines:
<or>
<istrue value="${snamid.migration.is_enabled}" />
<istrue value="${config.migration.enabled}" />
<istrue value="${snamid.updateConfigure.is_enabled}" />
</or>
- Delete the second code line so that you have only the following lines in the file:
<or>
<istrue value="${snamid.migration.is_enabled}" />
<istrue value="${snamid.updateConfigure.is_enabled}" />
</or>
This code modification enables the configuration to run properly.
- Click Retry on the Deployment in Progress page of SAS® Deployment Wizard.
If the steps above do not resolve the issue, contact SAS Technical Support. Be sure to attach the log file with the configuration error to the tracking entry that is created when you submit the SAS Technical Support Form.
