SAS Marketing Optimization does not allow the use of special characters in a filter. If you use special characters when you try to create a filter, the following error occurs:

Character attribute filter values cannot contain any of the following characters:
% ^ & * + = [ ] { } | \ ; : ' " , < > / ~ `

The problem occurs when your input data uses one of the special characters and you then use one of the input-data attributes in a filter.

To work around this problem, remove the invalid character from the input data.
