Problem Note 55599: Using German characters in an export file in SAS® Customer Intelligence might distort the positional output
In SAS Customer Intelligence, when you use German characters in an export file with Positional file as the output type, the output might be moved out of its proper position:
1 Miss ÄÖÜShilow Winsley Providence United States
2 Dr aäüMeredith Winsley Providence United States
3 Mrs Alexandra Winsley Providence United States
4 Miss Lucy Omara Beaver Creek United States
5 Mr Malik Omara Beaver Creek United States
6 Miss Darren Grube Leavenworth United States
As you can see, the first two rows containing the German umlaut are shifted three characters to the left.
Click the Hot Fix tab in this note to access the hot fix for this issue.
After applying the hot fix, you might encounter a problem where numeric fields are blank when you use positional output in an export file. For more information, see SAS Note 58013, "Numeric fields are blank in an export file in SAS® Customer Intelligence when you use Positional file as the output type."
