In a Kerberos environment, such as when you use SAS/ACCESS® Interface to Hadoop to access Hadoop resources secured with Kerberos authentication, Kerberos authentication tickets need to be passed to the LSF process that starts SAS. When you use SAS Workspace Servers that are launched by a SAS® grid, however, the Kerberos tickets are not passed to the LSF process, and the SAS Workspace Server does not receive the Kerberos ticket. This can cause to problems with file permissions, with access to DBMS servers, and other issues.
