When you execute SAS® Customer Intelligence campaigns or communications, the communication custom-field extension table (CI_COMMUNICATION_EXT) in the common data model is not always updated.
A row should be written to the CI_COMMUNICATION_EXT table for each custom text field every time a campaign is executed. The associated CI_COMMUNICATION_CHAR_UDF and CI_CELL_PACKAGE tables are correctly updated. However, a row is not added to the CI_COMMUNICATION_EXT table every time.
Manually publishing the campaign before executing it adds a row to the CI_COMMUNICATION_EXT correctly.
Adding a numeric custom field to the communication definition causes the text fields to be published correctly to the CI_COMMUNICATION_EXT table each time the campaign is executed.
