Installation Note 55160: An error occurs when the SAS® Deployment Manager reaches step 3 (SAS Marketing Optimization Launcher) of stage 4 (Configure Products)

When you configure SAS® software from the SAS Deployment Manager, the deployment manager might stop processing when it reaches step 3 (SAS Marketing Optimization Launcher) of stage 4 (Configure Products). When the deployment manager stops, the following error is generated:

 [echo] Checking if migration from 5.41 to 6.31 is supported....
     [fail] failing due to FATAL ERROR:  Migration from 5.41 to 6.31 is not
supported

A new version of the ci_common.xml file is provided in this hot fix. After you download and install the hot fix, follow these post-installation instructions:

  1. Copy the ci_common.xml file that resides in the SASHOME/SASCustomerIntelligenceStudio/6.3/Config/hfmisc directory.
  2. Paste the copy of ci_common.xml into SASHOME/products/cfgwizard_*__prt__xx__sp0__1/Utilities/contrib/customerintelligence.
  3. Restart SAS Deployment Manager and rerun the configuration.
